PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Construction of a 380,000 gallon buried concrete tank and sewer systems for combined sewer overflow reduction
•Construction was in a 5 way intersection in an upscale residential area next to an active park on the shore of Puget Sound
•Excavation to over 40’ below grade, 6’ below sea level
•Required extensive coordination between utility owners, King County, City of Seattle, and local residents
•Required extensive temporary utility relocation and bypassing of flows
•SJC kept the existing pump station operational throughout the project via extensive planning, sequencing, and coordination with plant operations
