This Contract provides for the improvement of *** Ferry Terminal Transfer Spans by replacing headframes, lift beams, counterweights, mechanical and electrical equipment that allow the transfer span to move though the tidal cycle for loading vessels. The base bid work will occur at the following four ferry terminals: Anacortes in Skagit County, Coupeville in Island County, Lopez and Orcas in San Juan County. The Alternate Bid will replace the mechanical and electrical equipment at the Edmonds Ferry Terminal in Snohomish County, *** and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.
