The Work is generally described as follows:
• Providing a trailer mounted 250-kW standby power generator and implementing an automated temporary standby power supply system to provide standby power to the pump station in the event of loss of utility power until the new generator and all associated equipment is installed, tested and ready for operation as specified.
• Disconnection and removal of an existing 150-kW standby generator unit and associated equipment, conduit and conductors, disconnection and removal of existing intake and exhaust louvers, dampers, and actuators, and saw cutting, removal and disposal of existing reinforced concrete and CMU wall all as shown on the Drawings and as specified.
• The Owner retains salvage rights to all existing equipment, conduits and conductors to be removed. The Owner plans to re-utilize the existing generator and is to be removed so it remains in useable condition. If damage occurs during removal that results in the generator not being operable or usable, such damage is to be repaired at no additional cost to the Owner. All existing equipment, conductors and conduits to be turned over to the Owner after removal shall be transported and unloaded at the Owner’s treatment facility at 467 Fibre Way, Longview, Washington.
• Site prep and furnishing, installing and compacting import aggregate, new reinforced concrete slab, and wall infill (steel stud framing, insulation, and cement board siding) all as shown on the Drawings and as specified.
• Furnishing and installing new intake and exhaust louvers, dampers and actuators as shown on the Drawings and as specified.
• Installation of an Owner supplied equipment consisting of: 1) a 250 kW standby generator unit consisting of the generator with base mounted fuel tank and remote E-stop station and 2) a dual purpose load bank docking station in a factory provided enclosure in accordance with manufacturer requirements and recommendations, as shown on the Drawings and as specified. The Contractor will be responsible for moving both equipment items from their current locations at the Owner’s treatment facility at 467 Fibre Way in Longview to the Kelso Pump Station located adjacent to the Three Rivers Golf Course in Kelso, Washington.
• Furnishing and installing, as shown on the Drawings and as specified, electrical conductors and conduit required to connect the generator to the existing ATS and to connect the ATS to the new load bank docking station including all associated interconnections and alarms.
• Furnishing and installing miscellaneous equipment, piping, and components, as shown on the Drawings and as specified.
• Coordinate with Owner, Engineer and generator and load bank docking station supplier for scheduling and participating in startup, testing and training of Owner staff in the operation of the new generator and docking station as specified.
