This project involves construction of facilities for chemical addition to wet weather flows to
enhance primary clarification. The project is intended to provide a tool for meeting permit
compliance during wet weather and improve the overall operation of the Bureau of
Environmental Service's (BES) wet weather facilities. The project is located at the Columbia
Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant, 5001 North Columbia Boulevard. Access to the project
site is from the east plant entrance from Columbia Boulevard.

Site Work: Miscellaneous piping between the headworks, wet weather screening facility (WWSF), new chemical storage and receiving, and chemical addition points.
Construction: New ferric chloride and polymer storage, tanks, containment, receiving, pumping, distribution, flow metering, leak detection, injection and sparging facilities, and performance monitoring.
Misc Improvements: Associated HVAC, compressor, and plumbing improvements.
Testing: In addition to Contractor functional testing, the City shall be provided an Acceptance Demonstration Testing Period during wet weather season.
